How to Play

Goal

Find the mystery country in 8 guesses or fewer. The fewer guesses and hints you use, the better.

Guesses

• Type a country name and pick it from the dropdown, or press Enter.
• Tab fills in the first match.
• Each wrong guess reveals a new clue automatically.

Clue order

1. Hard clue -visible from the start.
2. Medium clue -after your 1st wrong guess.
3. Flag clue -after your 2nd wrong guess.
4. Border clue -after your 3rd wrong guess.

Hints

Three optional hints are available at any point. Each one you use is added to your score.

• 🗺️ Continent -which continent it is on.
• 🏛️ Capital -the capital city.
• 🔤 Letters -the first and last letter of the name.

A new puzzle every day. Everyone worldwide gets the same country. Use 📅 Previous Games to go back and play older ones.

Scoring

Your result is shown as X/8. Solve it with no hints and you get a ⭐.

Goal

Find the mystery country by guessing and using the distance feedback to zero in on it.

How guesses work

• Each guess shows the distance in km to the mystery country.
• Distance is measured between the geographic centers of the two countries.
• Closer guesses are shown in warmer colors. A neighboring country shows in yellow.

Hints
